Vintage Diamond Rings From the 1940's

One era that we love to discuss is the Mid Century, which includes the 1940's, the Fabulous Fifties, the 1960's, and the 1970's. This time period was a very important one for vintage jewelry, as enthusiasts showed us so many different styles of rings. The 1940's included the bold retro era of beautiful cocktail rings with precious gems such as rubies and sapphires, and semi precious gems including aquamarines. Also included in the 1940's, were beautiful solitaire engagement rings with wonderful filigree and milgrain designs. In order to help the war effort, the government asked the jewelers to not use platinum, but instead use the metal palladium. Here are five stunning vintage diamond rings from the 1940's.
