Happy Birthday Citrine!

The leaves are changing to red and brown, there's a chill in the air, and before you know it Thanksgiving will be thrust upon us. Wasn't it just summer? Well, we know time flies, and another birthday is here. We must wish citrine, a beautiful semiprecious gemstone, happy birthday. Citrine is a proud member of the quartz family. It comes in hues of yellow, with its most popular being a golden honey color. Citrine's legend is one of inspiration, and was supposed to be a gemstone that would help heal many illnesses. This lovely gemstone was popular during the 1940's retro area, and used for beautiful art deco engagement rings . As with many of our favorite precious and semi precious gemstones, when cleaning citrines use a little luke warm water and soap, and brush gently with a toothbrush. Please never do this over a sink! Here are a few beautiful vintage art deco engagement rings, with citrines, you will love.
