There are 3 important jewelry shows for the jewelry industry: the Miami Beach Antique Show, the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry Show, and the The Hong Kong Jewelry Show. These shows tell us where the prices of diamonds, and antique jewelry, is going for the upcoming year. One important aspect we look for (from the Hong Kong show) is which buyers are coming to the show? Will our friends from the Far East come, specifically China, India and Japan? What will they be buying? Will our friends from Europe, specifically Germany, England and Italy, come to this show? How about our friends from the Middle East? There is always a large contingency of American diamond dealers at this great show, but the major question is, "what diamonds will they be purchasing?" Here's the ditty on the Hong Kong show:

Our friends from the Far East came to the show, yet it seems that they aren't buying their signature diamonds, specifically colorless and near colorless diamonds with flawless and VVS clarities. Colorless diamonds (including D, E and F) with VVS and Flawless clarities are very soft today.
