Antique Engagement Rings in Rose Gold

Antique engagement rings are lovely. One of our favorite types of antique rings are ones crafted in rose gold. Rose gold is such a warm and inviting color, and has become the choice of many couples looking for Art Deco and vintage engagement rings. Rose gold is simply a mixture of gold and copper, and was extremely popular in the Victorian and Art Deco eras, as well as during the 1940's. When a beautiful antique diamond, or precious or semi precious gemstone, is paired with rose gold it's like a match made in heaven. Antique rose gold engagement rings are stunning, ethical and conflict free. Here are 5 beautiful rose gold engagement rings we think you'll adore.

Art Deco Engagement Ring

Bezel Set Engagement Rings

One of our favorite types of antique engagement rings , which arguably is overlooked, is the bezel set engagement ring. Bezel set engagement rings were popular throughout many decades, including Victorian, Art Deco and the Mid Century. Mine cut and old European cut diamonds look beautiful when bezel set. Precious and semi precious gems, such as aqua, emerald, aquamarine , and garnet also look stunning when bezel set. A bezel setting surrounds the gem with a thin piece of metal which looks beautiful, and also supports the gem completely. A vintage bezel engagement ring is classic, and elegant. Here's some of our favorite bezel set engagement rings!

Art Deco Emerald Rings

The summer is flying by. One of our favorite summer colors is green, and the gorgeous precious gem, the Emerald, is green. Emeralds have been a wonderful choice for engagement rings for decades including eras such as Victorian, Art Deco, and the Mid Century. Today couples are opting for emeralds as the center gemstone in their art deco engagement ring, rather than a center diamond. Our collection of emeralds are ethical and always conflict free. Here are 5 fantastic art deco emerald rings you'll love!
Emerald Education:
Emeralds are part of the Beryl family, where the popular color is green. Emeralds will come from mines in Africa, yet the most sought after emeralds are from the Columbian Muzo mines. The emerald is known for curing illnesses, and it is a gem of riches and wealth. Emeralds are a soft gemstone with a 7.5 in mohs hardness scale. We always recommend to use a master jeweler that specializes in emeralds when, or if, you ever want to reset an emerald.

Why We Love Antique Engagement Rings

Antique engagement ring are beautiful, but why do we feel a connection to these beautiful works of art? Is it the sweet hand crafted filigree and milgrain embellishments? Could it be the ethical precious and semi precious gemstones? Maybe it's the beauty of antique cut diamonds. Yet, there is still something that draws us closer to these rings from the past. I am always drawn to the 1970's song, "Hello it's me," by Todd Rundgren. Wearing vintage engagement rings really shows us who we are. Antique rings are just an extension of your unique self. Antique Jewelry and Diamond News of 2016

There's good news and bad news on the state of current diamond prices in the world. With most of the world in an economic recession, or very small growth, it seems like the price of round diamonds has halted. In some cases, it has declined. Diamonds, specifically in the the Far East, has declined. China's diamond buying, for GIA colorless, and flawless to VVS1-VVS2 clarities, has stopped. Therefore, the prices for these diamonds has declined. India's diamond buying has also declined for near colorless diamonds of I-J-K colors and VVS1-VVS2 to VS and VS2 clarities has also declined. Our friends from the middle east have also stopped buying larger fancy colors, yet fancy blues, fancy yellows and fancy pinks prices still are very strong. This is due to the decline in oil prices. With Europe in such a transition, buyers from Europe have also declined. Yet, even though the United States has achieved low growth, colorless and near colorless diamonds with SI2-I1 clarities, with GIA diamond reports , has actually risen. Demand is up for these specific diamonds.
Fancy Shape Diamond Prices
Fancy shape diamonds with GIA diamond reports have much better news. With princess cut diamonds leading the way, oval cut and many square shape diamonds such as asscher, emerald, and radiant cut diamonds are in demand. The prices for these diamonds have stayed strong. Pear shape and marquis diamonds have also seen a resurgence in popularity, and are still in demand.
